JOSEPH JEROME AND AMY FREISLEBEN BOTH PROMOTED TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, LEGAL AND BUSINESS AFFAIRS

LOS ANGELES - MARCH 4, 2009 - Joseph Jerome and Amy Freisleben each have been promoted to Senior Vice President, Legal and Business Affairs, at CBS Television Distribution, it was announced today by Bruce Pottash, Executive Vice President of Legal and Business Affairs, CTD.

Previously, both Jerome and Freisleben had been Vice President, Legal and Business Affairs.  Jerome oversees all legal matters pertaining to the syndicated entertainment newsmagazine,  "The Insider," as well as offering support on "Entertainment Tonight," the #1 syndicated entertainment newsmagazine. Freisleben works on all legal matters for "Judge Judy" and "Judge Joe Brown," the two top-rated court shows in syndication.

"Joe and Amy are seasoned legal veterans in the television industry," Pottash said. "Both have been with the company for many years, and these well-deserved promotions reflect their dedication and fine work on some of the top-rated shows in syndication."  

Jerome, who holds a law degree from St. John's University in New York, began his career in entertainment law at The John Sloss law office in New York, specializing in the independent film world. He then joined the litigation department of Viacom and consequently worked for Simon & Schuster and then Paramount overseeing legal matters for "The Montel Williams Show" and "The Judge Mills Lane Show."  In 2004, he moved to Los Angeles to work on "The Insider," as well as providing support on "Entertainment Tonight."

Freisleben has been working on "Judge Judy" and "Judge Joe Brown" since Februrary 1998.  During her tenure with the company, she has exclusively worked on the two court shows, providing all production related legal work.  Prior to joining the company, she was a business litigation attorney working in private practice in Los Angeles.  She received her Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles.
