Konica Minolta Signs on as Title Sponsor of The Gator Bowl Classic
Jacksonville, Fla and Ramsey, N.J. - September 29, 2007 - Kelly Madden, North Florida Region President of Wachovia Bank and Chairman of the Gator Bowl Association, announced today that Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta), a leading provider of imaging and networking technologies, is the new title sponsor of the Annual Gator Bowl Classic. The Konica Minolta Gator Bowl game will be played on New Year's Day and will be televised on CBS beginning at 1:00 p.m. EST
Joining Chairman Madden at midfield during halftime at the Florida State versus Alabama game in Jacksonville, were Konica Minolta representatives John Coghlan, Group Manager, Marketing Communications and James Norberto, Manager, Public Relations. In addition, a video spot of Kevin Kern, Konica Minolta's vice president of product planning and marketing, was aired at halftime to officially announce the sponsorship and highlight the beginning of this exciting new partnership. The sponsorship agreement with the Gator Bowl is for three years beginning with the January 1, 2008 Gator Bowl Classic.

The Gator Bowl Classic, the 6th oldest Bowl in the country, was first played on January 1, 1946 pitting South Carolina against Wake Forest. For over 60 years, the Gator Bowl has showcased 4 Heisman Trophy winners and more than 180 first team All-Americans. A few on the great legends who are part of the Gator Bowl mystique include coaches and players like Dan Marino, Archie Manning (and son, Peyton), Paul "Bear" Bryant, "Papa" Joe Paterno and Bobby Bowden.
