CBS SPORTS' 2007 COLLEGE FOOTBALL SCHEDULE OFFERS BEST OF SOUTHEASTERN CONFERENCE EVERY WEEK

Defending National Champion Florida Hosts Tennessee to Kick Off Season on September 15

  

CBS Sports begins the seventh year of national coverage of Southeastern Conference (SEC) football on Saturday, Sept. 15 when defending national champion Florida takes on Tennessee (3:30-7:00 PM, ET).

 

For 12 Saturdays throughout the season, CBS Sports will present exclusive live national network broadcasts of SEC home games featuring the best SEC regular-season action the Conference has to offer concluding with the SEC Championship Game featuring the Eastern and Western Division champions on Saturday, Dec. 1 (6:00 PM, ET). A total of 18 college football contests will be broadcast on the Network, including the Army-Navy game, the 74th Sun Bowl on Monday, Dec. 31 and the Gator Bowl on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008.

All other SEC games will be announced six to 12 days prior to their broadcast date.

 

Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson, along with Tracy Wolfson reporting from the sidelines, serve as CBS Sports' lead college football announce team.

 

COLLEGE FOOTBALL TODAY, the Network's pre-game, halftime and post-game studio show, will be broadcast in the half-hour format 11 times throughout the season, premiering on Saturday, Sept. 15 (3:00-3:30 PM, ET).  Hosted by Tim Brando with analyst Spencer Tillman, COLLEGE FOOTBALL TODAY presents highlights of all the day's action, as well as a look at college football's most interesting stories and personalities both on and off-the-field.

 

Craig Silver serves as coordinating producer and Steve Milton is the lead director for the Network's college football broadcasts.  Vin DeVito serves as producer for COLLEGE FOOTBALL TODAY, which originates from the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City.
