AMERICA'S FAVORITE QUIZ SHOW ANNOUNCES LINE UP OF 15 TEENAGERS TO COMPETE IN FIRST-EVER "JEOPARDY!" SUMMER GAMES AIRING JULY 16-27
(CULVER CITY, CA, March 6, 2007) - Building on the popularity of the "Jeopardy!" Teen Tournament, next week the nation's #1 quiz show will tape 15 of the country's brightest students competing in the first-ever Jeopardy! Summer Games Teen Tournament, which will broadcast nationally Monday, July 16, through Friday, July 27.
Battling it out over 10 nights for a $75,000 grand prize, these savvy teenagers will see if they have what it takes to be crowned the ultimate "Jeopardy!" teen champion. The contestants will be flown to Los Angeles next week to tape the two-week tournament.

In the Jeopardy! Summer Games, players compete in a series of five shows the first week. The winners of those games and the four highest money-earners go on to the semifinals. The three winners of those shows proceed to a two-game finals match. The three finalists keep the money they accumulate in the last two games, with a minimum guarantee of $25,000 for second place and $15,000 for third place. The overall winner is guaranteed $75,000. Jeopardy!, a winner of 27 Emmy awards since its debut in 1984, was recently inducted into the Guinness Book of World Records for the most awards won by a TV Game Show. The series is the #1-rated quiz show in syndication, and has held that title for over 1,000 weeks.
