CBS Sports Presents Coverage of Sun Bowl for 39th Consecutive Year

Gator Bowl Returns to CBS Sports on New Year's Day

          CBS Sports' 2006 coverage of college football concludes New Year's Weekend with two bowl games.  On Friday, Dec. 29 (2:00-6:00 PM, ET), *No. 25-ranked Oregon State faces Missouri in the 73rd annual BRUT SUN BOWL, live on the CBS Television Network.  This marks the 39th consecutive year CBS Sports will broadcast the matchup from El Paso, Texas.

            Play-by-play announcer Craig Bolerjack, along with analyst Steve Beuerlein handle the call for Oregon State-Missouri from Sun Bowl Stadium. Sam Ryan reports. Steve Scheer produces and Mark Grant directs.

            On New Year's Day, Monday, Jan. 1, 2007 (1:00-5:00 PM, ET), the TOYOTA GATOR BOWL returns to CBS Sports as *No. 25-ranked Georgia Tech takes on *No. 12-ranked West Virginia. The Gator Bowl is the sixth oldest college bowl game and was the first post-season bowl game to be televised nationally. CBS Sports broadcast the first-ever televised Gator Bowl on December 31, 1954.

            CBS Sports' lead college football announce team of Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson call the action for Georgia Tech-West Virginia from ALLTEL Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla. Tracy Wolfson serves as sideline reporter.  Craig Silver, CBS Sports' coordinating producer of college football, produces and Steve Milton directs the Network's coverage.
