CSTV Launches "SEC Football Nation," a Weekly Roundup Show Covering All of the Saturday SEC Action CBS Sports' SEC Game of the Week Will Be Simulcast Via Streaming Video on CSTV.com NEW YORK (September 14, 2006) -- CBS Sports and CSTV Networks, Inc. are launching two initiatives to better serve fans of SEC football, the top-ranked conference according to CSTV.com's Dell Power Grid. Beginning this Saturday, September 16, and for the remainder of the season, CSTV in conjunction with CBS Sports will launch a new weekly 30-minute show, SEC Football Nation, and offer a live streaming feed on CSTV.com of CBS Sports' SEC Game of the Week as part of a new package called SEC All-Access. The debut SEC Football Nation show will feature special in-studio guest Tim Couch, former University of Kentucky quarterback and No. 1 pick in the 2004 NFL Draft, who will make his broadcasting debut. "SEC Football Nation and the exclusive streaming of SEC football games fits perfectly with our mission at CSTV to grow the experience for college sports fans by offering them not only additional content, but new ways to connect with the content they love," said Tim Pernetti, Executive Vice President, Content, CSTV. "This is the latest example of how the power of CBS Sports and CSTV together is greater than the sum of its parts. SEC Football Nation is a great addition to our already comprehensive line-up of football programming and provides the SEC fan yet another way to connect to their football." "We are excited to partner with CSTV in these important initiatives which enhance the promotion of SEC football and enrich the viewers overall experience," said Mike Aresco, Senior Vice President, Programming, CBS Sports. SEC Football Nation (11:30 p.m. ET) will be hosted by CSTV's Greg Amsinger from the CSTV Fieldhouse, with analysis provided by CSTV resident insider Brian Curtis and reports from CBS Sports' weekly games, highlighted by CBS Sports' lead announce crew of Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson. The weekly post-game show will provide a comprehensive wrap-up of all the day's SEC action, including news, highlights, press conferences and interviews with local SEC football reporters and personalities. Beginning this Saturday, with the CBS Sports broadcast of Florida @ Tennessee, CSTV.com will be the live streaming home of the CBS Sports SEC Football Game of the Week. Each week fans can catch the live action on CSTV.com through SEC All-Access. The games will also be archived for future viewing. Fans can access individual games for $7.95 per month or subscribe to the entire season for $19.95. For 12 Saturdays throughout the season, CBS Sports will present exclusive, live, national network broadcasts of SEC home games featuring the best SEC regular-season action the Conference has to offer, concluding with the SEC Championship Game featuring the Eastern and Western Division champions on Saturday, Dec. 2 (6:00 PM, ET). A total of 19 college football contests will be broadcast on the Network, including the 73rd Sun Bowl on Friday, Dec. 29 and the Gator Bowl on Monday, Jan. 1, 2007.
