CBS HEADS TO KANSAS CITY’S CPKC STADIUM TO PRESENT MULTIPLATFORM COVERAGE OF 2024 NWSL CHAMPIONSHIP BETWEEN ORLANDO AND WASHINGTON

CBS MORNINGS and ATTACKING THIRD to Air Live from Kansas City, with Match Airing in Primetime on CBS and Paramount+ for Third Straight Year

CBS is heading to CPKC Stadium in Kansas City to present extensive, multiplatform coverage of the 2024 NWSL Championship between the Orlando Pride and Washington Spirit. The match will air in primetime at 8:00 PM, ET for the third straight year on CBS and Paramount+ on Saturday, Nov. 23.

CBS Sports’ pre-match, halftime and post-match coverage will air live from CPKC Stadium on the dedicated women’s soccer show ATTACKING THIRD, hosted by Poppy Miller with analysts Darian Jenkins, Lisa Carlin and Seattle Reign head coach Laura Harvey. Ninety-minute pregame coverage begins at 6:30 PM, ET on CBS Sports Golazo Network, and continues at 7:30 PM, ET on CBS and Paramount+.

The match will be called by play-by-play announcer Jacqui Oatley and analyst Lori Lindsey, along with reporter Emily Proud. Christina Unkel will serve as rules analyst. Match coverage will be bolstered by enhanced player and field tracking telestration analysis, as well as live drone coverage and additional cameras to showcase the action from all angles.

CBS Sports Golazo Network will feature extended post-match coverage at 10:30 PM, ET following the trophy presentation on CBS.

CBS MORNINGS will kick off coverage on Friday, Nov. 22 as co-hosts Gayle King, Tony Dokoupil and Nate Burleson take the show on the road to CPKC Stadium, with extended coverage on CBS MORNINGS PLUS. All morning long, the team will be joined by notable guests including NWSL commissioner Jessica Berman, Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas, Grammy-Award winning singer-songwriter Melissa Etheridge and others.

This broadcast continues CBS MORNINGS’ dedication to highlighting women in sports. CBS SATURDAY MORNING co-host Dana Jacobson will take viewers on a tour of CPKC Stadium, the first arena in the U.S. built specifically for a women’s sports team. CBS MORNINGS PLUS co-host Adriana Diaz explores the rise in popularity of professional women’s sports from soccer to basketball. CBS News correspondents Jan Crawford and Omar Villafranca will also report.

For the first time, CBS Sports will also air the 2024 NWSL Skills Challenge at 3 or 5 PM, ET on Sunday, Nov. 24 on CBS and Paramount+ (check local listings).
