CBS NEWS’ “FACE THE NATION WITH MARGARET BRENNAN” IS THE #1 SUNDAY MORNING PUBLIC AFFAIRS PROGRAM IN VIEWERS ON MAY 1

“Face the Nation” Remains the Season’s Most-Watched Sunday Morning Public Affairs Program
FACE THE NATION with MARGARET BRENNAN was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show on Sunday, May 1, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. FACE THE NATION delivered 2.7 million viewers for the week, with 383,000 in adults 25-54.
Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show in viewers for the second consecutive year (leading NBC by +379,000 viewers) and is leading NBC for the first time in seven years in the women 25-54 demographic.
Sunday’s broadcast featured moderator Margaret Brennan’s interviews with Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA); Samantha Power, administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development; Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL); Paul Burton, M.D., chief medical officer for Moderna; and Amb. Deborah Birx, M.D, former White House Coronavirus response coordinator and author of Silent Invasion.
The broadcast also featured CBS News’ Charlie D’Agata reporting from eastern Ukraine, where one battalion commander said he has yet to receive any heavy weapons promised by the U.S. David Martin reported on Russia’s slow-moving efforts to capture territory in eastern Ukraine.
