CBS'S 2004-05 CHILDREN'S PROGRAMMING SCHEDULE

"LAZYTOWN," "MISS SPIDER'S SUNNY PATCH FRIENDS" AND "THE BACKYARDIGANS" JOIN "NICK JR. ON CBS" SATURDAY MORNING CHILDREN'S SCHEDULE

Popular Nick Jr. Favorites "Dora the Explorer" And "Blue's Clues" Move Time Periods While "Little Bill" Returns To The Fall Line-Up

CBS and Nickelodeon will join forces for the fifth consecutive year to program NICK JR. ON CBS, the Network's Saturday morning children's schedule. NICK JR. ON CBS will be adding three new shows to the Saturday morning line-up. LAZYTOWN and MISS SPIDER'S SUNNY PATCH FRIENDS will join NICK JR. ON CBS Saturday morning children's schedule, beginning Saturday, Sept. 18 (7:00-7:30 AM ET/PT and 7:30 - 8:00 AM ET/PT respectively) on the CBS Television Network. THE BACKYARDIGANS will be added to the schedule beginning Saturday, Oct. 16 (8:00 - 8:30 AM ET/PT).

Popular children's programs LITTLE BILL, DORA THE EXPLORER, and BLUE'S CLUES will all return to the NICK JR. ON CBS schedule. Beginning Saturday, September 18 DORA THE EXPLORER will be broadcast from 8:30-9:00 AM ET/PT, LITTLE BILL will be broadcast from 11:00-11:30AM ET/PT and BLUE'S CLUES will be broadcast from 11:30AM -12 PM ET/PT.

LAZYTOWN (E/I, TV-Y) inspires children to live healthier lives through fitness, choice in diet, and improved self-respect. The main character, Stephanie, is a little girl who introduces viewers to a fascinating world filled with strange, wonderful people, including the world's laziest super-villain, Robbie Rotten, and Sportacus, an athletic super-hero who helps Stephanie navigate between healthy lifestyle choices and easy but unhealthy ones. The unique look of LAZYTOWN combines the worlds of CGI, puppets and live characters. LAZYTOWN is a Lazytown Production.

MISS SPIDER'S SUNNY PATCH FRIENDS (E/I, TV-Y) is based on the best-selling book series by children's author David Kirk, and features the eight-legged charmer, Miss Spider, her hubby Holley and their Sunny Patch Kids. The Sunny Patch bugs are a hodge-podge of creatures of every size, shape, color and personality, who all strive to get along and accept each other despite their differences. MISS SPIDER'S SUNNY PATCH FRIENDS is a Nelvana production.

THE BACKYARDIGANS (E/I, TV-Y) involves musical adventures that help children develop their imaginations and express themselves creatively as they sing and dance along with five high-spirited pre-school pals; quick-moving penguin Pablo, mellow moose Tyrone, thrill-seeking, purple-spotted creature Uniqua, ladylike hippo Tasha and Austin, the new kangaroo on the block. THE BACKYARDIGANS is a Nelvana production.

DORA THE EXPLORER, LAZYTOWN, AND BLUE'S CLUES are all broadcast with video description. Since April 2002, the CBS Television Network has provided a video description service for the visually impaired. The video descriptions are delivered for selected programs via the Secondary Audio Programs (SAP) channel.
