Election Night Special:

CBS News will present special election night coverage on Tuesday, Nov. 4, from 9:00-11:00 PM, ET on CBS News 24/7, CBS News’ premier anchored streaming news service.

Major Garrett will anchor the coverage from Washington, joined in-studio by Robert Costa, Weijia Jiang and Caitlin Huey-Burns. The program will feature in-depth reporting, analysis and results from key contests, including those in New York City, California, New Jersey and Virginia (see below).

The CBS News Data Desk, led by executive director of elections and surveys Anthony Salvanto, will deliver live results updates in real time, with exclusive CBS News models and vote maps that take viewers behind the scenes and deep into the data, along with projections of winners in all the major races.

CBS News journalists will join the coverage to provide additional analysis, including political director Fin Gómez with insight on the races and Kelly O’Grady with the latest news on the economy. CBS News contributors David Becker, Chuck Rocha, Leslie Sanchez and The Free Press’ Olivia Reingold will also participate.

CBS News journalists will also report live from locations around the country with the latest on the nation’s most consequential races:

  • Ed O’Keefe and Lilia Luciano will report on the New York City mayoral race, covering the Mamdani and Cuomo campaigns, respectively.

  • Nidia Cavazos and Julie Watts will cover the California special election on Proposition 50 from Sacramento. Watts will report on the California gubernatorial race.

  • Jericka Duncan will report from New Jersey on the high-stakes race for governor.

  • Nikole Killion will report from Virginia on the critical gubernatorial election, while Taurean Small will cover the attorney general race.

CBS News’ election night coverage will stream everywhere CBS News 24/7 is distributed, including the CBS News app, Paramount+ and Pluto TV.
