CBS NEWS RATINGS HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE WEEK OF SEPT. 26

60 MINUTES

  • Was the week’s #1 non-sports primetime broadcast in viewers, adults 18+ and adults 25-54 on Sunday, Oct. 2, taking the top spot every week this season. (Press Release) (Watch 60 MINUTES)

  • Finished in the top 10 for the third consecutive week of the new season.

  • The broadcast posted its best audience since Jan. 16, delivering 10.27 million viewers, 9.99 million 18+ and 2.36 million in adults 25-54.

  • 60 MINUTES’ potential social impressions (575m) were up +111% from the prior week.

CBS MORNINGS

  • Posted year-over-year increases among women 25-54 (+6%) for the fifth consecutive week and the 19th out of the last 22, to be the only network morning news program to post increases in this demo. (Watch CBS MORNINGS)

  • Was the only network morning news program to post growth in adults 25-54 (+1%) and women 25-54 over the same week a year ago.

  • Season-to-date gained three competitive share points in women 25-54 and adults 25-54 from the same week a year ago, the only network morning show to post share increases in both demos.

  • Delivered 2.4 million viewers, with 552,000 of them in the adults 25-54 demo and 341,000 among women 25-54, for the week ending Oct 2.

  • Delivered its largest audience since the week of May 9.

  • Grew +10% in adults 25-54 from the previous week, delivering its best number since the week of May 9.

  • Has cut into NBC’s gap from last year through two weeks this season, by 43% in adults 25-54 and 40% among viewers.

  • Has cut the gap against ABC by 25% in adults 25-54 and 2% in viewers.

  • CBS MORNINGS’ live-streaming audience was up +10% and potential social impressions (1.5b) were up +4% from the prior week.

CBS EVENING NEWS WITH NORAH O’DONNELL

  • Delivered 5 million viewers, with 816,000 of them adults 25-54, for the week ending Sept 30, its best viewer number since March and best adults 25-54 number since May. (Watch the CBS EVENING NEWS)

  • Was the most-watched broadcast on CBS in viewers Wednesday and Friday.

  • Through two weeks of the season has closed the demo gap with NBC by 4% and with ABC by 12% from last year.

  • CBS EVENING NEWS’ live-streaming audience was up +7% and potential social impressions (973m) were up +48% from the prior week.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING

  • The broadcast delivered 4.5 million viewers, with 638,000 of them in the adults 25-54 demographic.

  • Has ranked #1 for the past 23 seasons (since the 2000-01 season).

  • CBS SUNDAY MORNING’s live-streaming audience was up +4% from the prior week.

FACE THE NATION WITH MARGARET BRENNAN

  • Was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs broadcast in viewers on Sunday, Oct. 2. (Press Release) (Watch FACE THE NATION)

  • Delivered 2.7 million viewers, with 466,000 in adults 25-54.

  • Grew in the adults 25-54 demo +18% and +6% in viewers from last week, more growth than the competition.

  • Season-to-date ranks #1 among viewers.

  • FACE THE NATION’s live-streaming audience was up +10% from the prior week.

48 HOURS

  • Was Saturday’s #1 non-sports primetime program in viewers on Saturday, Oct. 1. (Watch 48 HOURS)

  • Delivered 2.79 million viewers, with 589,000 of them adults 25-54.

  • Was up +6% in viewers compared to the same night last year.

  • 48 HOURS’ live-streaming audience was up +2% and potential social impressions (106m) were up +224% from the week prior.

CBS SATURDAY MORNING

  • Delivered more viewers in men 25-54 than NBC on Saturday, Oct. 1. (Watch CBS SATURDAY MORNING)

  • Delivered 1.8 million viewers, with 326,000 of them in the adults 25-54 demo.

  • Through two weeks of the season has closed the gap with NBC by 49% in the adults 25-54 demo and by 75% in viewers vs. last season.

  • Has closed the gap with ABC by 2% in the adults 25-54 demo.

  • Is delivering the tightest gaps in the demo this season with NBC ever and with ABC since the 2004/05 season.

  • Is delivering its tightest gap among viewers with NBC ever.

  • CBS SATURDAY MORNING’s live-streaming audience was up +4% from the week prior.
