CBS NEWS RATINGS HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE WEEK OF AUGUST 8

60 MINUTES PRESENTS

  • Was the week’s #2 primetime broadcast in both viewers and adults 18+. (Watch 60 MINUTES)

  • Was Sunday’s #1 primetime program in viewers and adults 18+.

CBS MORNINGS

  • Delivered 2.3 million viewers, with 457,000 of them in the adults 25-54 demo and 278,000 in women 25-54, for the week ending August 12. (Watch CBS MORNINGS)

  • Grew +1% in total viewers week-to-week.

  • Has cut into NBC and ABC’s leads in the adults 25-54 demo for the season by 26% and 17%, respectively, versus last year.

  • Is delivering the tightest gaps in adults and women 25-54 for a season ever (since at least 1991) versus NBC and ABC.

CBS EVENING NEWS WITH NORAH O’DONNELL

  • Delivered 4.4 million viewers, with 715,000 of them adults 25-54, for the week ending August 12. (Watch the CBS EVENING NEWS)

  • Is delivering the tightest demo gap of the season with NBC in 27 years (since 1994/95) and with ABC since 2018/19.

  • Is closing the demo gap with NBC by 17% and with ABC by 10%, compared to last year.

  • Has closed the gap in viewers with ABC by 4%.

CBS SATURDAY MORNING

  • Beat NBC in adults 25-54 and women 25-54 for the first time since 2003. (Press release) (Watch CBS SATURDAY MORNING)

  • Delivered 1.8 million total viewers, with 409,000 of them in adults 25-54 and 256,000 in women, on Saturday, August 6.

  • Saw massive growth week-to-week in adults (+48%, best in 21 weeks) and women (+59%, best in 35 weeks), delivering one of its strongest numbers of the season as well as one of its largest audience shares of the season in both demos.

  • Has closed the viewer gap with ABC by 7% this season and with NBC by 4%.

  • Has closed the gap in the adults 25-54 demo with ABC by 7% and with NBC by 12%.

  • Is delivering the tightest gaps in the demo this season with NBC and ABC ever, dating to the “Early Show” days in 1997/98.

  • Is delivering its tightest gap with NBC among viewers ever (since 1997/98) and with ABC since 2006/07.

CBS WEEKEND NEWS: SATURDAY

  • Delivered 2.289 million viewers, with 304,000 of them adults 25-54, on Saturday, August 13.

  • Was up +42% in the adults 25-54 demo and +6% in viewers for its best numbers since June.
