Mo Brings Plenty

August 2026

Mo Brings Plenty is an American Indian actor and enrolled member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. Born on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, he is the oldest of seven siblings. Growing up, Brings Plenty spent most of his time on horseback and attending traditional ceremonies with his grandparents. As a young adult, he competed in rodeos and worked as a ranch hand in neighboring communities.

Brings Plenty got his start in acting in 1991 after applying for work as a carpenter on the set of “Thunderheart,” starring Val Kilmer. Instead, he was hired as an extra because of his distinctive look, and that unexpected opportunity launched his acting career.

Today, Brings Plenty is best known for his role as Mo on the long-running TV series YELLOWSTONE and for reprising the character on CBS’ hit series MARSHALS.

In addition to acting, he is part of the coaching staff for the Arizona Ridge Riders, a professional bull riding team in the PBR Team Series.

Brings Plenty spends his free time on his small ranch just outside Kansas City with his family, 11 riding horses and 38 rescue animals. The family enjoys riding their horses and volunteering for their local wildlife rehabilitation organization, Operation Wildlife (Linwood, Kan.).

Mo’s birthday is Sept. 4. Follow him on Instagram @MoBringsPlenty.
