Marcus Scribner is a socially conscious next-gen actor and producer. He is best known for his breakout role as Andre “Junior” Johnson Jr. on the award-winning comedy “Black-ish,” a role he began at just 13 years old. He went on to star in the spin-off “Grown-ish.”
Scribner stars in the upcoming film “In Starland” opposite Clarence Maclin, the directorial debut of Ray Panthaki. In 2023, he starred in the environmental thriller “How to Blow Up a Pipeline” alongside Ariela Barer, Forrest Goodluck and Lukas Gage. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and was released by NEON following a competitive bidding war. Additional film credits include “How I Learned to Fly,” which he executive produced, “Along for the Ride,” “Farewell Amor,” “The F* It List,” “Confessional” and “Alexander IRL.”
Scribner’s voiceover work includes roles in “Dragons: The Nine Realms,” “Ron’s Gone Wrong,” “She-Ra and the Princesses of Power,” “Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh” and “The Good Dinosaur.”
A passionate humanitarian, Scribner serves as an ambassador for Defend Our Future, a project of the Environmental Defense Fund. He also serves as the chief youth innovator for the Reserve Protection Agency in South Africa. He was honored by the National Foster Youth Institute in 2019 for his advocacy on behalf of underserved foster youth. Scribner continues to use his platform to champion causes close to his heart.
