Keith D. Robinson

Keith D. Robinson is an actor who continues his pursuit as an all-around entertainer.  He has had an illustrious acting career, landing over 70 projects in television and film.

Robinson is best known for his critically acclaimed performance as “C.C. White” in the Academy Award-winning feature film, “Dreamgirls,” which remains a major benchmark in his career as an actor and singer. In addition to his on-screen role, Robinson’s voice is heard on six songs from the film’s soundtrack. Additional film credits include NCIS, for the Network, “Dear John,” “Fat Albert,” “Life Story of Mahalia Jackson,” “Get On Up - The Life Story of James Brown,” alongside the late Chadwick Boseman, “All Eyez on Me,” “Four Seasons” and more.

 

On television, he starred in all six seasons of “Saints and Sinners,” which are now available on Hulu, “Conspirators,” “LA Social,” “The Wilshire” and “CRU,” among many others. 

 

Robinson directed, wrote and starred in the short film, “The Greener Grass Experiment” from his Scenes and Songs Production imprint, which won an award at the Essence Film Festival. He was also nominated for an NAACP Image Award for the scripted podcast “Crimson Hearts.” 

As a musician he is set to release a new album titled “Love Episodic 2” during the summer of 2025 (both the US and UK versions).

 

Robinson attended the University of Georgia and grew up in Kentucky and Georgia. His birthday is Jan. 17. Follow him on social:
