Fresh off the heels of the national tour for the hit Broadway play “Jaja’s African Hair Braiding,” Colby Nixon makes her network television debut in BEYOND THE GATES, starring as Katherine “Kat” Richardson.

Nixon’s additional television credits include “Doing It Wrong,” “Family Mixtape,” “For My Man” and “Centerfold.”

A proud graduate of the University of San Diego’s acting MFA program, Nixon also holds a BFA in musical theatre from Howard University. Additionally, she is an alumna of the Chautauqua Theatre Company’s Acting Conservatory.

When she’s not performing, Nixon enjoys dancing, skating and rock climbing.
