Dec. 1, 2022 – NEW YORK – The Peabody Award-winning series THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT will air Stephen’s USO trip to Thule Air Base to visit Space Force Guardians on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 11:35 PM, ET; 10:35 PM, CT on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.

THE LATE SHOW PRESENTS … RED, WHITE, & GREENLAND! STEPHEN COLD-BEAR IS LOST IN SPACE FORCE will feature filmed segments from this summer, when Stephen traveled to Greenland with the USO to visit Thule Air Base, the northernmost installation of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Stephen, who has a long history of working with the USO, sits down with the Chief Master Sergeant of the Space Force, Roger A. Towberman, in the glacial landscape. The Space Force tracks intercontinental ballistic missiles and satellites in low-earth orbit from the base, which is 750 miles north of the Arctic Circle. With 24 hours of sunlight and a lot to learn, Stephen didn’t waste time on the isolated base. In this special episode, Stephen witnesses a nuclear missile attack simulation, gains insight about their radar system’s effect on the human body and throws an epic karaoke night for all of Thule with Navy Veteran and musician Sturgill Simpson.

THE LATE SHOW is a production of The Late Show Inc. and CBS Studios. The series has dominated as the most-watched program in late night for the last six consecutive years. THE LATE SHOW airs weeknights (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and is available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
