PHIL KEOGHAN is arguably the most traveled host on the planet and has been telling stories in front of a television camera for almost four decades. He has worked in over 150 countries on thousands of programs and episodes as a producer, director, host, actor and writer, including his best-selling book, No Opportunity Wasted.

 

Phil is showrunner and host of TOUGH AS NAILS and an executive producer and host of THE AMAZING RACE, now in its 39th season; he hosted National Geographic’s “Explorer” and produced numerous documentaries and specials.

 

His award-winning documentary feature, “Le Ride,” a daring adventure where Phil retraced the 1928 Tour de France, averaging 150 miles a day, for 26 days, on an original 1928 racing bike with no gears, screened at SXSW and was selected as the opening night screening and awarded favorite film at several festivals around the world.

 

Phil’s personal philosophy, Buckit – TickitBeforeYouKickit, inspired him to ride his bicycle from LA to NYC; have a five-star meal on top of the erupting volcano Stromboli; break an unofficial world bungy jumping record; putt a golf ball coast to coast across Scotland; change a light bulb on top of the Verrazano Bridge; dive the world’s longest underwater caves; and swim from Asia to Europe across the Bosporus.

 

Phil’s work has earned him numerous awards including: 10 Primetime Emmy Awards as a producer and host of THE AMAZING RACE, Best Director Award at the American Documentary Film Festival, the 2018 Sports Documentarian Award from the International Sports Hall of Fame - a World Class New Zealand Award, The Dorothy Corwin Spirit of Life Award for services to MS, a Sir Peter Blake Leadership Award, and was named Endurance Live Celebrity Athlete of the Year in 2013. 

 

As a philanthropist Keoghan has been listed as one of the world’s top 200 Most Influential Philanthropists and Social Entrepreneurs. Collaborating with his wife and business partner, they continue to support several charities and achieved a life goal of raising over $1 million for multiple sclerosis.

 

Keoghan was made a member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2014 for his services to television and tourism.
