Tatanka Means is an award-winning actor and stand-up comedian originally from Chinle, Ariz., on the Navajo Nation. He represents the Dinèh, Oglala Lakota, Yankton Dakota and Omaha Nations.
Means can be seen most recently in the Oscar-nominated Martin Scorsese western crime drama “Killers of the Flower Moon” alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Lily Gladstone and Robert De Niro.
Means can also be seen in Kevin Costner’s new western saga “Horizon” and the upcoming sequel “Wind River: Rising.” His other recent work includes the A24 horror film “Opus” and the Netflix series “Ransom Canyon.”
Aside from acting, Means performs stand-up comedy throughout Indian Country, spreading the good medicine of laughter and motivation to all ages. He was recently a featured comedian on the PBS special “Roots of Comedy” with Jesus Trejo. Tatanka was named Entertainer of the Year by the National Indian Gaming Association.
