Allegra Edwards is an actress known for her work across television, film, theater and voice performance with a range that spans both comedy and drama. She recently wrapped production on the independent feature film “Nothing Will Come of Nothing” and will guest star in season two of “Bad Thoughts” with Tom Segura for Netflix.
Edwards is best known for her starring role as Ingrid Kannerman in Greg Daniels’ “Upload” for Amazon, appearing across all four seasons of the series. Her television credits also include recurring roles on CBS’ GHOSTS and USA Network’s “Briarpatch,” opposite Rosario Dawson. She has appeared in a wide range of acclaimed comedies and television series, including “Modern Family,” “New Girl,” “Alternatino with Arturo Castro,” Nick Stoller’s “Friends from College,” “The Mindy Project” and “Orange Is the New Black.”
Edwards has also brought her comedic sensibility and distinctive voice to animation, voicing Willow, Bobby’s vegan girlfriend, in the recent revival of “King of the Hill.” Her film credits include the Adam Sandler feature “Sandy Wexler” for Netflix.
Edwards’ work is grounded in a strong theatrical background. She studied theater and television at Pepperdine University, where she performed with the school’s improv troupe and wrote scenes for its annual Songfest. She went on to earn her MFA from the American Conservatory Theater and has also performed Off-Broadway in “Everything You Touch.” Her combination of formal theatrical training and experience across comedy, drama, film, television and live performance has shaped a versatile body of work and a distinctive approach to character.
