Tony Cavalero recently wrapped a standout four-season run as fan favorite Keefe on Danny McBride’s hit series “The Righteous Gemstones.” Currently, he stars as Vic in the CBS comedy series DMV. On the film side, Cavalero recently completed principal photography on “Apopka,” the Christy Martin biopic, starring opposite Sydney Sweeney as legendary trainer Short Dog. His other recent credits include “Cold Wallet,” directed by Cutter Hodierne and co-starring Raúl Castillo; and “Die Hart 3,” in which he appears alongside Kevin Hart, Kathryn Hahn and J.K. Simmons.
Cavalero’s past work includes recurring roles on “The Connors,” “Miracle Workers,” “The Dirt” and “We Broke Up.”
A graduate of Virginia Military Institute, Cavalero was a four-year varsity lacrosse player who also lettered in football and wrestling, and holds a black belt in taekwondo. He is an alum of the prestigious Groundlings Theater Main Company.
Cavalero is a dedicated supporter of several causes, regularly fundraising and volunteering with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles as well as various animal welfare organizations and fostering animals in need. He has been happily married to writer and jewelry designer Annie Cavalero for 10 years. The couple met in the Sunday Company at the Groundlings Theater in Los Angeles where they both performed.
Cavalero grew up in Virginia and currently resides in Los Angeles. His birthday is Oct. 12. He can be followed on Instagram @tonycavalero.
