Mark Gordon, CEO of the Mark Gordon Company, is an award-winning motion picture and television producer with more than 100 motion picture and television projects to his credit.
His upcoming films include “Steve Jobs,” written by Academy Award-winning screenwriter Aaron Sorkin and directed by Academy Award-winning director Danny Boyle, and “Arms and the Dudes,” directed by Todd Phillips and starring Jonah Hill and Miles Teller. Gordon’s previous film credits include the Golden Globe Award winner and Academy Award and BAFTA nominated “Saving Private Ryan,” “2012,” “The Day After Tomorrow,” “Speed,” “Source Code,” “The Messenger,” “The Patriot,” “Tomb Raider,” “Wonder Boys,” “The Painted Veil,” “A Simple Plan” and “Primary Colors.”
A two-time Emmy Award winner and five-time nominee, Gordon serves as an executive producer on CRIMINAL MINDS on the Network, “Grey’s Anatomy,” for which he won a Golden Globe Award, and “Ray Donovan.” His past television credits include the series “Private Practice,” “Army Wives,” “Reaper” and the Emmy Award-winning television movie “Warm Springs.” In 2015, Gordon was honored by the Producers Guild of America with the Norman Lear Award for achievement in television.
Also in 2015, the Mark Gordon Company partnered with Entertainment One (eOne) to create an independent television and film studio. Gordon serves as CEO for the company which both finances and produces premium content by Gordon as well as other producers.
Gordon is the President Emeritus of the Producers Guild of America, after serving as its President from 2010 through 2014, when he spearheaded the establishment of The Producer’s Mark.
A devoted philanthropist and champion of public education, Gordon is the founder of Citizens of the World Charter Schools (CWC), which serves 1,300 students across five schools in Los Angeles and Brooklyn, N.Y. CWC will expand to include a middle school in Los Angeles in the fall of 2015, with two more schools planned for Kansas City in 2016. He is on the board of the Archer School for Girls and is a past chairman of Teach for America Los Angeles. Gordon is a former board member of the Virginia Film Festival, Chrysalis, the Motion Picture and Television Fund and UCLA Lab School.
