ADDITIONAL CATEGORIES AND NOMINEES, INCLUDING FAVORITES IN FILM AND COUNTRY MUSIC, ARE ANNOUNCED FOR "THE 31ST ANNUAL PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS," TO BE BROADCAST SUNDAY, JAN. 9 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

"Favorite Movie," "Favorite Movie Villain," "Favorite Country Group," Favorite On-Screen Chemistry" and "Favorite Animated Movie Star" Are Among the New Categories

Additional categories and nominees, including favorites in film and country music, have been announced for THE 31ST ANNUAL PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS, to be broadcast live from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, Calif., Sunday, Jan. 9 (9:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The second round of voting for THE 31ST ANNUAL PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS has begun, and includes categories such as "Favorite Movie," "Favorite Movie Villain," "Favorite Country Group," "Favorite On-Screen Chemistry" and "Favorite Animated Movie Star." Starting immediately, fans can vote for their favorite nominees in the new categories at www.pcavote.com. Voting will close at 12:00 Noon PT on Monday, Dec. 13. Only the categories of "Favorite New TV Comedy" and "Favorite New TV Drama" will remain open through the first hour of the live broadcast.

THE 31ST ANNUAL PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS is being produced by Procter & Gamble Productions, Inc. The People's Choice Awards is fully sponsored by products of Procter & Gamble, which is represented by MediaVest Worldwide, Inc., supervisors of the production. Carol Donovan ("GQ Men of the Year Awards") is the executive producer. Central Talent Booking is the talent consultant. Bruce Gowers ("The American Music Awards") is directing the special.

Partnering with the culture-savvy editors at Entertainment Weekly, the new production team compiled a list of categories and potential nominees to reflect what is current and what people are listening to and watching. Entertainment Weekly's Front Row Panel of over 6,000 entertainment enthusiasts from across the country voted for their top five selections in each category, which became the official nominees.
