"Without a Trace" Tops "ER" in Adults 25-54 For the First Time Ever and Is in Closest Competitive Position To Date in Adults 18-49
CBS Places First in Adults 18-49 on Thursdays For the First Time in a February Sweep Since People Meters
"Numb3rs" Is Friday's Most Watched Program and Highest Rated in Adults 18-49
"CSI: NY" Tops "Law & Order" in Key Younger Demographics
In a week that included an additional hour of "American Idol" and "The Academy Awards," CSI was the week's top scripted program and WITHOUT A TRACE topped a first-run "ER" in adults 25-54 for the first time ever, in the week ending Feb. 27, week 23 of the 2004-2005 television season.
For the week in viewers, CBS (11.80m) trailed ABC (14.01m) and FOX (12.08m) and finished ahead of NBC (10.15m). Season-to-date, CBS (12.91m) is ahead of ABC (10.53m), NBC (10.10m) and FOX (9.97m).
For the week in households, CBS (7.6/12) trailed ABC (8.9/14) and had a +4% lead over FOX (7.3/11) and +13% ahead of NBC (6.7/11). Season-to-date, CBS (8.4/14) has a +24% advantage over ABC (6.8/11), +25% over NBC (6.7/11) and +38% over FOX (6.1/10).

For the week in demographics, CBS was third in adults 25-54 (4.4/10), men 25-54 (3.7/09), tied for third in women 25-54 (5.1/11, with NBC) and adults 18-49 (3.6/09, with NBC).
Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (4.9/12) with a +0.4 lead over second place ABC (4.5/11) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (4.0/11), with FOX.
-- On Thursday, CBS was first in households (14.5/22), viewers (23.75m), adults 25-54 (9.8/22), adults 18-49 (8.2/20) and adults 18-34 (6.0/16). CBS won Thursday in the February 2005 Sweep in households (13.8/21), viewers (22.23m), adults 18-49 (7.5/19) and adults 25-54 (9.2/21). This will be the third consecutive February sweep where CBS has won Thursday in households and viewers, by the largest margin in both households (+4.0 ahead of NBC) and viewers (+8.09m).
