CBS Leads November Sweep in Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54
CBS placed first in viewers (with four of the top five programs), adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and was the only network to post year-to-year growth, according to Nielsen ratings for the week ending Nov. 21, week nine of the 2004-2005 season.
CBS placed first in adults 18-49 for the fifth time this season, one more than all of last season.
For the week in viewers, CBS (14.07) topped NBC (10.82m), ABC (10.54m) and FOX (6.84m). Season-to-date, CBS (13.34m) is ahead of NBC (10.30m), ABC (10.17m) and FOX (9.84m).
For the week in households, CBS (9.1/14) was +26% ahead of NBC (7.2/11), +34% over ABC (6.8/11) and +107% over FOX (4.4/07). Season-to-date, CBS (8.7/14) has a +28% advantage over NBC (6.8/11), +32% over ABC (6.6/11) and +38% over FOX (6.3/10).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (5.5/13) and adults 18-49 (4.4/12). Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (5.2/12) with a +0.7 lead over second place NBC and first in adults 18-49 (4.2/11), +0.3 ahead of NBC and ABC. This time last year, CBS was tied for first in adults 25-54 (with NBC). In adults 18-49 this time last year, CBS was third, trailing both NBC by -0.4 and FOX by -0.2.
Compared to the same week last year, CBS was up +6% in adults 25-54, +10% in women 25-54, +7% in adults 18-49 and +22% in adults 18-34.
