CBS Leads the November Sweep in Viewers and Key Demographics
CBS placed first in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and was the only network to post year-to-year increases making CBS the front runner in all three categories for the season and the November sweep, according to Nielsen ratings for the week ending Nov. 14, week 8 of the 2004-2005 television season.
CBS's win in adults 18-49 is the its largest margin in a November sweep since people meters.
For the week in viewers, CBS (15.04m) topped NBC (11.26m), ABC (10.41m) and FOX (7.33m). Season-to-date, CBS (13.25m) is ahead of NBC (10.23m), FOX (10.18m) and ABC (10.12m).

In households, CBS (9.7/15) was +31% ahead of NBC (7.4/12), +45% over ABC (6.7/11) and +106% over FOX (4.7/07). Season-to-date, CBS (8.7/14) has a +28% advantage in households over NBC (6.8/11), +32% over ABC (6.6/11) and +34% over FOX (6.5/10).
For the week, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (6.0/14), adults 18-49 (4.8/13), women 25-54 (6.9/16) and men 25-54 (5.0/12). Compared to the same week last year, CBS was up +5% in households, +18% in adults 25-54, +15% in women 25-54, +19% in men 25-54, +20% in adults 18-49 and +27% in adults 18-34.
Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (5.1/12) with a +0.6 lead over second place NBC and first in adults 18-49 (4.1/11), +0.2 ahead of NBC, ABC and FOX. This time last year, CBS was first in adults 25-54 with just a +0.1 lead over second place NBC. In adults 18-49 this time last year, CBS was third, trailing both NBC by -0.5 and FOX by -0.4.

November sweep-to-date, CBS is first in households (9.5/15), viewers (14.68m), adults 25-54 (5.7/14) and adults 18-49 (4.6/12). After the first eleven days of the November 2003 sweep, CBS was first in households, viewers and adults 25-54 but second in adults 18-49, trailing NBC by -0.3. This November, CBS has a +0.5 lead in adults 18-49.

CSI was the week's top rated broadcast in households, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. It is also the third consecutive week CSI has topped "The Apprentice" in adults 18-34.

CBS was first in households, viewers and key demos from 8:00-11:00PM. CBS won every half-hour in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. This is CBS's best delivery in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since 11/13/01 (JAG/"Michael Jackson 30th Anniversary Special") and since 9/21/04 in adults 18-34 (BIG BROTHER 5 finale/THE AMAZING RACE 5 finale). CBS Research estimates over 37 million viewers watched all or part of the ceremony.
THE KING OF QUEENS (8.4/13, 12.74m viewers) was first in adults 18-49 (4.9/12) and second in households, viewers and adults 25-54 (5.6/12, -0.1 behind NBC).
