CBS will win the 2003-2004 television season and the May sweep!
With two nights remaining in the season and sweep, CBS is projected to win the season by more than two million viewers -- the largest margin by any network in 14 years.
This marks CBS's second consecutive season win and third in the past four years.
CBS will also place first in its target demographic of adults 25-54 for the first (in a non-Olympic year) since 1980.
CBS will average 5.90 million adult 25-54 viewers, ahead of NBC's projected 5.85m, FOX 5.06m and ABC's 4.55m.
In addition, CBS has narrowed the gap in adults 18-49 from -0.7 last year to -0.4 this season, the Network's closest competitive position to first in this demographic since 1993. Among adult 18-49 viewers, CBS is within 500,000 viewers of NBC.
CBS is the only network to post year-to-year growth in viewers (+4%), adults 25-54 (+4%) and adults 18-49 (+3%) while all the other networks are down from year-ago levels.
