CBS Is The Only Major Network to Post Year-to-Year Gains in Adults 18-49 Over the Last Five Weeks

CBS Has Five of the Top Six Most Watched Programs

"Survivor: Pearl Island" Is No. 1 With Its Most Watched Episode of the Season

"Cold Case" Is In The Top 10 For the Second Consecutive Week With Its Second Highest Ratings in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49

"Undercover Christmas" Attracts the "Sunday Movie's" Second Largest Audience

Rebroadcast of "CSI" Draws 1.4 Million More Viewers Than a First-Run "ER"

CBS placed first in viewers for the sixth consecutive week, first in its target demographic of adults 25-54 for the fifth straight week and a competitive second in adults 18-49, in the week ending Dec. 7, Week 11 of the 2003-2004 season.

CBS has now posted year-to-year gains in adults 18-49 in five consecutive weeks, the only major network to post gains over that time span. No other major network has been up in adults 18-49 since the week ending Nov. 9.

CBS had five of the six most watched programs of the week, including No. 1 SURVIVOR: PEARL ISLANDS which attracted its largest audience of the season. In addition, freshman drama COLD CASE cracked the Top 10 for the second consecutive week this season, the CBS SUNDAY MOVIE ("Undercover Christmas") attracted its second largest audience of the season and a rebroadcast of "CSI" drew nearly 1.4 million more viewers than a first-run "ER." ?
In viewers, CBS (12.97m) easily outpaced NBC (10.58m), ABC (9.82m) and FOX (7.64m). Season-to-date, CBS (13.45m) is first in viewers followed by NBC (11.00m), FOX (10.04m) and ABC (9.77m). ?
In households, CBS (8.5/14) enjoyed a +21% advantage over NBC (7.0/11), +33% over ABC (6.4/10) and +73% over FOX (4.9/08). Season-to-date, CBS (8.8/14) has a +19% advantage over NBC (7.4/12), +35% ahead of FOX (6.5/10) and +38% ahead of ABC (6.4/10). ?
CBS was first on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday while second on Friday. ???
CBS was first in adults 25-54 (4.8/12, the demographic most important to advertisers*), men 25-54 (4.4/11) and second in women 25-54 (5.2/12) and adults 18-49 (3.9/10). CBS was first in adults 25-54 for the fifth week in a row and first in men 25-54 for the sixth consecutive week. Compared to the same week last year, CBS was up +15% in households, +17% in adults 25-54, +13% in women 25-54, +22% in men 25-54, +11% in adults 18-49. CBS is the only major network this week to post gains in adults 18-49 for the fourth consecutive week. ?
Season-to-date, CBS (5.0/12) is first in adults 25-54 with a +0.1 advantage over NBC. This time last year, CBS trailed NBC by -0.6 rating point. ?
? ? SURVIVOR: PEARL ISLANDS dominated its time period in viewers (22.20m), households (12.9/20), adults 25-54 (9.8/23) and adults 18-49 (8.1/22). SURVIVOR won both half-hours in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 and was the week's most watched program. This is SURVIVOR: PEARL ISLANDS' highest rated and most watched episode to date. ?
? CSI (R) dominated its time period in viewers (22.08m), households (13.6/20), adults 18-49 (7.6/19) and adults 25-54 (9.1/20) against first run "Will & Grace," "Scrubs," an "Extreme Make Over" rebroadcast and a video special rerun on FOX. ?
??60 MINUTES (7:20-8:20 PM) posted a 12.1/19 with 18.70m viewers, 6.0/14 in adults 25-54 and 6/12 in adults 18-49. From 7:30-8:30PM, CBS was first in households, viewers and key demos. This is 60 MINUTES's second best delivery in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 this season. With the exception of the CBS NFL Run Over, 60 MINUTES was the most watched broadcast Sunday night. ?
? COLD CASE (8:20-9:20 PM) posted a 10.2/15 with 15.39m viewers, 5.1/11 in adults 25-54 and 3.9/09 in adults 18-49. From 8:30-9:30PM, CBS was first in households, viewers and key demo, second in adults 18-49 (-0.1 behind FOX). This COLD CASE's second best delivery in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 to date.

? CBS SUNDAY MOVIE ("Undercover Christmas") (9:20-11:20 PM) posted an 11.4/18 with 17.32m viewers, 5.9/13 in adults 25-54 and 4.4/11 in adults 18-49. CBS was first in households, viewers and key demos, tied for first in men 25-54 with NBC from 9:30-11:00PM. The CBS SUNDAY MOVIE matched its best household delivery of the season and posted is second largest audience and second best adults 25-54 delivery. ?
? WITHOUT A TRACE (R) was second in households (8.9/14), viewers (13.72m), adults 18-49 (4.5/11) and adults 25-54 (5.5/13). ?
? EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND (R) (9:00-9:31 PM) was first from 9:00-9:30PM in households (10.7/16), viewers (16.75m) and second in adults 25-54 (6.4/14, -0.2 behind ABC) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (5.3/13, with NBC and -0.3 behind ABC). ???
