CBS GETS INTO THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT DURING CHRISTMAS AND

NEW YEAR'S DAY WITH ORIGINAL EPISODES OF ALL FOUR

DAYTIME DRAMAS

Two "Rugrats" Feature Films Will Be Broadcast on Christmas Day

The CBS Daytime schedule will celebrate the holidays with special programming and holiday-themed original episodes from Christmas Eve, Wednesday, Dec. 24 through New Year's Day, Thursday, Jan. 1.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 24 (CHRISTMAS EVE)

All four CBS daytime dramas, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, AS THE WORLD TURNS, GUIDING LIGHT and THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, will offer original, holiday-themed episodes featuring major story twists and turns, caroling by the shows' most popular characters and other surprises throughout the day. THE PRICE IS RIGHT will have Christmas-themed showcases.

THURSDAY, DEC. 25 (CHRISTMAS DAY)

Children of all ages will be treated to two family feature films original to the Network, RUGRATS: THE MOVIE and THE RUGRATS IN PARIS, on Christmas Day.

In RUGRATS: THE MOVIE, the Pickles family faces the biggest adventure to happen in any household -- the birth of a new baby. As Stu and Didi struggle with changes associated with the arrival of baby Dylan, big brother Tommy and his band of infant Rugrats try to return Dylan to the "hop-sickle," deciding he demands too much attention. But the real trouble ensues when they get lost in the woods and Dylan gets them into an adventure they never expected. RUGRATS: THE MOVIE will be broadcast 12:30--2:30 PM, ET; 11:30 AM--1:30 PM, CT and PT.

In THE RUGRATS IN PARIS, all Chuckie wants is a new mommy, but he barely has time to wish for one when Tommy's daddy, Stu, gets sent to Paris for work and brings the whole gang along. With Paris as their playground, the babies and their new French friends set out on a quest to make Chuckie's wish come true. THE RUGRATS IN PARIS will be broadcast 2:30-4:00 PM, ET; 1:30--3:00 PM, CT and PT.

AS THE WORLD TURNS, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, GUIDING LIGHT and THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS will be pre-empted. THE PRICE IS RIGHT will broadcast a repeat episode.

MONDAY, DEC. 29 and TUESDAY, DEC. 30

Original and story-arc climaxing episodes of AS THE WORLD TURNS, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, GUIDING LIGHT and THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS will be broadcast these days in their regularly scheduled time periods. THE PRICE IS RIGHT will air repeat episodes during this time.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 31 (NEW YEAR'S EVE)

Original episodes of THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL and THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS will be broadcast at its regularly scheduled time, except for the West Coast, where THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL will be pre-empted (this episode will air the following day) and THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS will be broadcast 10:00 AM-11:00 AM, PT. A repeat episode of THE PRICE IS RIGHT will be broadcast in its regularly scheduled time, except on the West Coast, where it will be broadcast 3:00 PM-4:00 PM, PT. AS THE WORLD TURNS and GUIDING LIGHT will be pre-empted.

THURSDAY, JAN. 1 (NEW YEAR'S DAY)

Original episodes of AS THE WORLD TURNS, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL and GUIDING LIGHT will be broadcast in their usual time periods. Additionally, the previous day's episode of THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL will be broadcast on the West Coast 10:30-11:00 AM. THE PRICE IS RIGHT and THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS will be pre-empted. Also, THE TOURNAMENT OF ROSES PARADE, the 115th annual pageant featuring elaborate floral floats, award-winning marching bands and talented equestrian groups, will be broadcast 11:00-1:30 PM, ET; 8:00-10:30 AM, PT.
