"GUIDING LIGHT" TO SEARCH FOR NEXT SOAP SUPERSTARS IN THE WEEK-LONG SERIES, "SOAP OPERA SCREEN TESTS," LIVE ON CBS NEWS' "THE EARLY SHOW"

The CBS daytime drama, GUIDING LIGHT, will search for two new superstars when the program conducts live screen tests on CBS News' THE EARLY SHOW, beginning on Monday, Nov. 10 (7:00-9:00 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Each day, two aspiring actors chosen by GUIDING LIGHT casting director Rob Decina will compete in "Soap Star Screen Tests" on THE EARLY SHOW for roles on the hit daytime drama.

Each hopeful will audition with GUIDING LIGHT regulars, including Kim Zimmer ("Reva"), Robert Newman ("Josh"), Marty West ("Shayne"), Aubrey Dollar ("Marina"), Laura Wright ("Cassie"), David Macdonald ("Edmund"), Bradley Cole ("Jeffrey"), Lindsey McKeon ("Marah"), Beth Ehlers ("Harley") and Ricky Paull Goldin ("Gus"). At the end of the week one man and one woman will be selected by THE EARLY SHOW viewers on the broadcast's website at www.cbsnews.com. The winners will be announced on the broadcast on Monday, Nov. 17.

The 10 finalists were selected from a pool of students who participated in taped auditions on five college campuses: the University of Georgia, the University of Pittsburgh, Northwestern University, the University of Miami and the University of Denver.
