CBS LUMINARIES -- PAST AND PRESENT -- TO CONVERGE IN MANHATTAN FOR "CBS AT 75," A NEW LIVE ENTERTAINMENT EXTRAVAGANZA

COMMEMORATING CBS'S MONUMENTAL ANNIVERSARY,

TO BE BROADCAST SUNDAY, NOV. 2 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

Well over 100 CBS luminaries -- past and present -- will gather for CBS AT 75, a new three-hour entertainment extravaganza commemorating CBS's 75th anniversary, which will be broadcast live from the Hammerstein Ballroom at New York's Manhattan Center, Sunday, Nov. 2 (8:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.

This special event, to be attended by CBS personalities representing decades of popular and beloved CBS shows, will feature salient moments from the Network's spectacular archive of entertainment, news, sports and radio broadcasts. CBS-affiliated celebrity hosts and attendees -- as well as some surprise guests -- will help showcase some of the most remarkable, informative, entertaining and humorous moments the Network has presented over the years. (The presenters will be announced at a later date.)

The black-tie festivities will begin with a pre-broadcast cocktail gathering and sit-down dinner in the Hammerstein Ballroom, from where the live broadcast will also originate.

To further honor the Network's milestone, CBS commissioned Peter Max to create an original work of art featuring the famous CBS eye logo to be used in on-air and print promotions and publicity campaigns for the special.

CBS AT 75 is being produced by Cates-Doty Productions. Gil Cates will executive produce the special and Dennis E. Doty will serve as producer. Emmy Award-winner Louis J. Horvitz ("The Academy Awards") will direct the special.
