Sergio George Receives Six Nominations; Four-Time Latin Grammy-Winner Juanes Earned Five; Natalia Lafourcade And Anibal Keprel Earn Four

Nominations have been announced for THE 4TH ANNUAL LATIN GRAMMY® AWARDS. Winners will be revealed on the special, to be broadcast live from the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, Wednesday, Sept. 3 (9:00-11:00 PM, live ET; delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network. ?

Nominees include Ricardo Arjona, Bacilos, Rubén Blades, Elvis Crespo, India, Caetano Veloso, Chayanne, Franco De Vita, Alejandro Fernández, Vicente Fernández, Enrique Iglesias, La Ley, Maná, Luis Miguel, Shakira, Olga Tañon, Thalia and LARAS Person of the Year Gilberto Gil.

Sergio George heads the list of nominees with six including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year and two nominations in the Best Tropical Song category. Other artists who received multiple nominations include: Juanes and Gustavo Santaolalla (five each), Natalia Lafourcade and Anibal Kerpel (four each). Ricardo Arjona, Rubén Blades, Elvis Crespo, India, Joan Sebastian and Caetano Veloso are among those who received two nominations. ?

THE 4TH ANNUAL LATIN GRAMMY AWARDS will be presented in 41 key categories covering a variety of genres and sub-genres of Latin music and will be the largest and most prestigious celebration of the creative spirit, artistic achievement and diversity found in today's Latin music.

The Latin Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, Inc. (LARAS) is a membership-based business league comprised of recording artists, musicians, producers and other creative and technical recording professionals who are dedicated to improving the quality of life and cultural conditions for Latin music and its makers. ?
