ON CBS DAYTIME DRAMA "GUIDING LIGHT"

Hit Single To Launch CBS Daytime's "Hot Enough For You" Promotional Campaign

Grammy-nominated artist Daniel Bedingfield will perform his?hit?single, "If You're Not The One," on the daytime drama GUIDING LIGHT Wednesday, July 9 (check local listings for time and channel) on the CBS Television Network, it was announced today by Barbara Bloom, Senior Vice President, Daytime Programs, CBS. In addition to his appearance, Bedingfield's hit single will launch CBS daytime's new summer promotional campaign "Hot Enough For You."

Bedingfield will play the friend of Tony Santos, portrayed by Emmy Award-winning actor Jordi Vilasuso. Tony gives the gift of Bedingfield's song as the final surprise in a three day story arc that builds to Danny and Michelle's surprise wedding at the yearly Bauer barbecue.

"The inclusion of Daniel's music in this very special day is both a gift for Danny and Michelle as well as all Guiding Light fans," said Bloom. "We are excited Daniel has lent his extraordinary talents to both the show and our new promo campaign. Teaming up with Bedingfield represents the latest in CBS Daytime's collaboration with top musical talent. In the past, CBS promos have included music by then up-and-comer Alicia Keys, as well as an appearance on "The Bold and The Beautiful" by Arista Record's Latin sensation Ennis.

Bedingfield's "If You're Not The One," from his debut album Gotta Get Thru This,???hit #1 on?Billboard's Dance Singles Sales Chart, Number 2 on the Top Singles Chart and Number 13 on the Hot 100 Singles Chart. ?

Amid the pulsating beat of music, the "Hot Enough For You" campaign features provocative and teasing spots designed to highlight the exciting stories, characters and talent on CBS Daytime, while introducing the shows to new viewers. The spots embrace the episodic nature of storytelling that has made CBS' daytime lineup Number One for more than 10 years.
