MANNION AND HIS TEAM INVESTIGATE A SERIES OF MURDERS INVOLVING INTERRACIAL COUPLES, ON A REBROADCAST OF "THE DISTRICT," SATURDAY, JULY 19
"Bloodlines" - Mannion and his team investigate a series of murders where the African-American victims involved are in interracial relationships, on a rebroadcast of THE DISTRICT, Saturday, July 19 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Pam Veasey, one of the series' executive producers, directed the episode written by Greggory Nations from a story by Jasmine Love. (Originally broadcast 4/12/03)
The perpetrator believed to be killing the African-Americans is at first thought to be Caucasian. However, Mannion's investigation takes a turn when blood from the next crime scene indicates that the perpetrator has sickle-cell anemia, a disease more commonly found in African-Americans. Meanwhile, as Ella prepares for a policeman's commendation after an act of heroism, she finds some incriminating evidence that could lead to his arrest.
