VICEROY HOTEL GROUP AND MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER TO BE FEATURED IN THE THIRD AND FOURTH EPISODES OF “THE JOB,” FRIDAY, FEB. 22 AND FRIDAY, MARCH 1

Each Episode Features Five New Candidates Vying for a Job at Their Dream Company

Viceroy Hotel Group and Major League Soccer will be the featured companies in the third and fourth episodes of THE JOB, airing Friday, Feb. 22(8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) and Friday, March 1 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), respectively.  Each episode features five new candidates vying for a job at their dream company.

Viceroy Hotel Group, which will offer a spa manager position, delivers one-of-a-kind luxury experiences that bring together provocative design and intuitive service in sought-after international locations such as Abu Dhabi, Beverly Hills, New York, Anguilla and Miami.  

The executives representing Viceroy will be CEO Bill Walshe; Assistant Vice President, Marketing Communication and Brand Management Azadeh Hawkins; Corporate Director, Spa Operations Patrick Huey; and Director of Human Resources Alysia Briggs.  The guest companies for the episode, who will have the opportunity to make an on-the-spot job offer to one of the candidates, will be Sonya Dakar Skin Clinic, Paul Labrecque Salon & Spa and Chelsea Piers.

Information on the candidates for the spa manager position with Viceroy:

  •  Bobbie Moreland, 43, Nashville, Tenn.: Unemployed
  •  Dany Weisman, 31, Chicago, Ill.: Unemployed
  •  Gamal Valdespee, 33, New York, N.Y.: Media consultant
  •  Jeremy Gilbert, 26, Colombia, S.C.: Hotel general manager
  •  Yolanda Wicks, 25, Detroit, Mich.: Part-time cosmetics salesperson

Major League Soccer, which will offer an associate producer position with MLSsoccer.com, is the top-flight professional soccer league in the United States and Canada. The League, which was founded in 1996, has 19 clubs – 16 in the United States and three in Canada - each playing 34 regular-season matches.

The executives representing Major League Soccer will be President of Soccer United Marketing, MLS’ commercial arm, Kathy Carter; Chief Marketing Officer Howard Handler; Executive Vice President, Competition, Technical & Game Operations Nelson Rodriguez; and MLSsoccer.com Editor-in-Chief Greg Lalas.  The guest companies for the episode will be Modell’s Sporting Goods, FC Harlem and Sporting Innovations.

  •  William Medina, 37, Urbana, Md.: Elementary School Teacher (English as a second language)
  •  Samantha Yarock, 28, Tenafly, N.J.: Associate Producer on a documentary for a nonprofit
  •  Mark Howland, 28, Portland, Ore.: Web Developer and Social Media Marketing
  •  Crystal Solomon, 28, Houston, Texas: Assignment Manager at local news affiliate
  •  Marc Torriero, 28, West Chester, Pa.: Unemployed

Hosted by Emmy Award nominee Lisa Ling, each episode of THE JOB will feature five candidates participating in several rounds of elimination challenges before a panel of executives as they compete for their dream job.  In addition to the episode’s featured company, representatives from three guest companies from related industries will have the opportunity to make an on-the-spot offer to one of the candidates who must decide if they will accept the offer or remain in the running for the highlighted job. 

As previously announced, the premiere episode of THE JOB will feature The Palm Restaurant Group offering an assistant manager position (airing Friday, Feb. 8) and the second episode will feature Cosmopolitan offering an editorial assistant position (airing Friday, Feb. 15).  Additional episodes will feature Gilt, Epic Records, Zynga and Live Nation.

THE JOB is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Embassy Row.  Emmy Award winners Michael Davies, Mark Burnett and Jay Bienstock are executive producers.
