THIS JUST IN... ...From CBS Entertainment 'D'ANGELO AND AMANDA' ARE THE DANCE ACT CHOSEN BY AMERICA AS THE WINNER OF "LIVE TO DANCE"

The Winning Duo Were Awarded $500,000

 

During last night's finale episode of LIVE TO DANCE with Paula Abdul, D'Angelo and Amanda were selected by America's vote as the official winner of the reality dance competition series.  They were awarded $500,000, the biggest dance prize in television history.

 

During last week's episode, six dance acts competed against one another in one final round of competition-The Vibe, Dance Town Chaos, Twitch, Kendall Glover, D'Angelo and Amanda, and White Tree Fine Art.  Last night, after an opening performance choreographed by Paula Abdul featuring all six dance acts, the field was

 

 

narrowed down to the final three: White Tree Fine Art, Kendall Glover and D'Angelo and Amanda.  In the end, D'Angelo and Amanda, who are from Miami, Fla., walked away with the $500,000 grand prize and the title of LIVE TO DANCE champion.

 

LIVE TO DANCE is based on a format created by Princess Productions and Shine TV and is produced by Reveille.  Elisabeth Murdoch, Howard T. Owens, Paula Abdul, James Sunderland, Anthony Dominici and Robin Ashbrook are executive producers.
