"CRIMINAL MINDS" DELIVERS ITS LARGEST AUDIENCE AND HIGHEST ADULTS 18-49 RATINGS SINCE ITS SEASON PREMIERE

"The New Adventures of Old Christine" Attracts Largest Audience in a Year  

All Four CBS Series Post Increases Over Last First-Run Episode  

CBS Wins Wednesday in All Key Rating Categories

 

CRIMINAL MINDS delivered its largest audience and highest adults 18-49 rating since its season premiere, THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE attracted its largest audience in a year and all of CBS's series scored huge increases over their last first-run episode, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Wednesday, Dec. 9.

 

THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE was first in households (4.8/08), second in viewers (7.49m) and adults 25-54 (2.8/07) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (2.2/06, with FOX).  Compared to its last first-run episode (Nov. 25), THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE was up +14% in households (from 4.2/08), +22% in adults 25-54 (from 2.3/07), +29% in adults 18-49 (from 1.7/06) and added +630,000 viewers (from 6.86m, +9%).  This was THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE's best delivery in viewers since Dec. 10, 2008. 

 

GARY UNMARRIED (4.4/07, 7.01m) was first in adults 25-54 (2.9/07) and averaged a 2.3/06 in adults 18-49 (-0.1 behind both ABC and FOX).  Compared to its last first-run episode (Nov. 25), GARY UNMARRIED was up +10% in households (from 4.0/07), +26% in adults 25-54 (from 2.3/06), +28% in adults 18-49 (from 1.8/06) and added +320,000 viewers (from 6.69m, +5%). 

 

CRIMINAL MINDS was first in households (8.9/14), viewers (14.43m), adults 25-54 (5.1/12) and adults 18-49 (3.9/10).  Compared to its last first-run episode (Nov. 25), CRIMINAL MINDS was up +9% in households (from 8.2/14), +21% in adults 25-54 (from 4.2/11), +22% in adults 18-49 (from 3.2/09) and added +820,000 viewers (from 13.61m, +6%).  These were CRIMINAL MINDS's best deliveries in viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since Sept. 23, 2009 (the season premiere).  CRIMINAL MINDS was the night's #1 program in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. 

 

CSI: NY was first in households (8.4/14), viewers (12.97m), adults 25-54 (4.2/11) and adults 18-49 (3.2/09).  Compared to its last first-run episode (Nov. 25), CSI: NY was up +6% in households (from 7.9/15), +11% in adults 25-54 (from 3.8/11), +14% in adults 18-49 (from 2.8/09) and added +290,000 viewers (from 12.68m, +2%). 

 

For the night, CBS was first in households (7.3/12), viewers (11.55m), adults 25-54 (4.0/10) and adults 18-49 (3.1/08).  CBS was first on Wednesday for the ninth time in 12 weeks in households, viewers and adults 25-54, first in adults 18-49 for the eighth time in 12 weeks.
