SOMETIMES THE ONLY HOPE IS SOMEONE WHO’S BEEN THERE BEFORE - THE CLEANER: THE FIRST SEASON

Benjamin Bratt Stars In Gritty Drama Series, Rebounding Onto DVD
June 9 From CBS Home Entertainment And Paramount Home Entertainment

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (May 19, 2009) - Follow the trials and tribulations of a recovering drug addict who helps others get clean by any means necessary when THE CLEANER: THE FIRST SEASON arrives on DVD June 9 from CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment.

Benjamin Bratt (Law & Order, Miss Congeniality) stars in the highly rated drama series as William Banks, an extreme interventionist who, after hitting rock-bottom from his own addictions after the birth of his daughter, strikes a tentative deal with God.  In exchange for a second chance, he vows to kick his addictions and dedicate his life to helping others. William works alongside an eclectic team: Arnie Swenton (Esteban Powell; Dazed and Confused), a wily smart aleck who is great undercover; Akani Cuesta (Grace Park; Battlestar Galactica), the beautiful and manipulative woman who always gets the best assignments; and Darnell McDowell (Kevin Michael Richardson; Knights of Prosperity), the newest member of the crew who has difficulty balancing his deep religious convictions with the work required to be part of the team.  The unconventional series has become A&E's No. 1 original drama in network history, averaging 4.2 million total viewers each week.

Arriving just in time for the premiere of its second season on June 23, THE CLEANER: THE FIRST SEASON includes cast and crew commentary on selected episodes, behind-the-scenes featurettes, deleted scenes and more and will be available for the suggested retail price of $54.99 US and $57.99 CAN.
