CBS CONSUMER PRODUCTS UNVEILS NEW ANIMATED ART STYLE FOR ICONIC STAR TREK FRANCHISE -- QUOGS
Unique STAR TREK Imagery Broadens the STAR TREK Universe - Debuts on GoAnimate.com
New York, February 11, 2009 - CBS Consumer Products, a division of CBS Entertainment, will boldly go where no merchandising program has gone before with the introduction of a new art style for its iconic STAR TREK franchise - QUOGS. Created to appeal to both collectors and new fans alike, QUOGS is a proprietary animated art style that accentuates the essence of each STAR TREK character with a fresh and accessible look.
The QUOGS program will launch with restylized versions of STAR TREK's most familiar characters including Kirk, Spock, Uhura and the rest of the crew from the bridge of the Enterprise on February 11th with online customized animation platform GoAnimate.com. Later this year, CBS Consumer Products will extend the QUOGS program across all categories beginning with Gluck (watches), Funko (vinyl figures), Trevco (t-shirts), Hallmark (greeting cards & party patterns) and more.

GoAnimate.com's dedicated STAR TREK mini-site enables users to create their own STAR TREK animated adventures online. Users will be able to activate animated versions of STAR TREK characters with a full range of actions and expressions, in addition to dialogue and musical themes. Once a STAR TREK animation is created, users can share it with their friends, social networks, and the greater STAR TREK community as a whole. GoAnimate's platform makes it simple to save and share your creations right from the site, including integration of both Gmail and Yahoo! Mail contacts, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Digg, Del.icio.us, StumbleUpon and Reddit.
CBS Consumer Products also recently announced major new partners for STAR TREK including expanding upon a current deal with Mattel and additional key toy partners including USAopoly, Funko and Fundex. In addition to the recently announced toy partners, CBS Consumer Products also added new apparel, fragrance, accessories, jewelry, home decor and gift partners for the franchise.
