CBS CONSUMER PRODUCTS EXPANDS DIVISION WITH SEVERAL NEW APPOINTMENTS

Jorge Ferreiro, Jason Korfine, Bill Burke, JJ Ahearn and Veronica Hart to Join Burgeoning Division

            CBS Consumer Products, the product licensing and merchandising arm of CBS Entertainment, announced today six key new appointments to the division, marking the first expansion under new Executive Vice President and General Manager Liz Kalodner.

            Among the new hires are Jorge Ferreiro as Senior Vice President, Creative; Jason Korfine as Vice President Marketing, who will concentrate on the "Star Trek" franchise; Bill Burke as Vice President, Marketing; JJ Ahearn as Director of Licensing; Veronica Hart as Director of Licensing; and Ben Berlin as contract administrator.  The new staff members join CBS Consumer Products directors Brad Fazzari and Maryann Martin on the team.

            "These new hires mark a key turning point for CBS Consumer Products, and I am thrilled to have them as our division makes its debut at Licensing International 2007," said Kalodner. "They are talented, experienced professionals who bring a wealth of knowledge, know-how and industry relationships to our division and their respective departments. I'm confident we now have the infrastructure to grow this division and capitalize on all the licensing and merchandising potential inherent in our products and library."

            Ferreiro has more than 22 years of solid experience in licensing and related creative initiatives.  Prior to joining CBS, he was Senior Vice President, Creative for HIT Entertainment, where he was responsible for the creative direction on "Thomas & Friends," "Bob the Builder" and "Barney and Friends," among others. Previously, Ferriero was Vice President of Global Creative for Sesame Workshop, Senior Vice President of Creative Marketing for Fox Family Worldwide, and Creative Director for Disney Consumer Products.

           Korfine, who will be responsible for the "Star Trek" properties, has more than 15 years of experience with expertise in marketing, licensing, merchandising, brand management and new business development.  He previously worked at 4Kids Entertainment as Vice President, Marketing where he was responsible for the development and execution of strategic marketing and franchise launch plans.  Prior to 4Kids Entertainment, Korfine worked at MTV Networks as Senior Director, Global Marketing & Brand Management for Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products.  

             Burke has more than 15 years of experience in marketing and business development.   Prior to joining CBS, he was Vice President, Brand Management for HIT Entertainment, where he was responsible for overseeing the development of the company's classic preschool brands, including "Bob the Builder," "Barney," "Thomas & Friends" and "Angelina Ballerina"  Previously, Burke spent five years at Sesame Workshop, most recently as Assistant Vice President, Marketing, Global Consumer Products.  In addition, he served as Director, Marketing, Global Consumer Products where he developed global marketing strategies for the "Dragon Tales" and "Sagwa, The Chinese Siamese Cat" brands. He also served as Director, Business Development.

              Ahearn has nearly a decade of experience in the industry, having worked at Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products as Director, Retail and New Business development where he established new business models and strategies for Nickelodeon Consumer Products across multiple properties and lines of business.  Previously, he served as General Manager for Memcorp Asia Ltd, where he was responsible for product development and promotion of the Memorex brand consumer electronics for major international retailers.

            Hart joins CBS Consumer Products after having worked as Director, Licensing at HIT Entertainment, where she was responsible for the entire HIT portfolio of multimillion-dollar brands.  Previously, Hart was Director, Licensing, Global Consumer Products for the Sesame Street brand and Sesame Workshop productions.
