New Season Features Michael Weatherly Returning to NCIS,
Launch of NCIS: NEW YORK, Starring LL COOL J and Scott Caan, 
And Mark Harmon Joining NCIS: ORIGINS

As part of CBS Premiere Week, the all-“NCIS” Tuesday night lineup delivered a #1 broadcast finish averaging 5.49 million viewers, up +39% from last year’s CBS Premiere Tuesday (10/14/25, NCIS, NCIS: ORIGINS, NCIS: SYDNEY). NCIS, the series premiere of NCIS: NEW YORK and NCIS: ORIGINS were the night’s top three most-watched scripted broadcast programs. The night showcased major characters across the franchise, including the return of Michael Weatherly as Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo Jr. on NCIS, LL COOL J as Sam Hanna and Scott Caan as Nick Schaeffer in NCIS: NEW YORK, and Mark Harmon joining NCIS: ORIGINS as Leroy Jethro Gibbs.Ratings Highlights:

NCIS S24 Premiere (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT)

  • Tuesday night’s #1 most-watched scripted broadcast program averaging 6.45m viewers.

  • NCIS’ most-watched episode since the season 21 finale (5/6/24).

  • Up +21% compared to its year-ago season premiere and up +20% from its year-ago season average.

NCIS: NEW YORK Series Premiere (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT)

  • Tuesday night’s #2 most-watched scripted broadcast program averaging 5.62m viewers.

  • NCIS: NEW YORK was up +53% compared to the year-ago time period premiere of NCIS: ORIGINS and up +50% from NCIS: ORIGINS year-ago season average.

NCIS: ORIGINS S3 Premiere (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT)

  • #1 broadcast show in its time period.

  • Averaged 4.39m viewers, up +20% compared to its year-ago premiere (9:00-10:00PM). 

  • NCIS: ORIGINS was up +56% compared to the year-ago time period season premiere of NCIS: SYDNEY.
