CBS Wins the Summer Season in Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49

Wednesday's Edition of "Rock Star: INXS" Has The Series' Most Watched Broadcast and Matches Highest Adult 18-49 Rating
CBS placed first in viewers and key demographics in the final week of the television year and finished the 16 week summer season first in viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 (tie), according to Nielsen ratings for the week ending Sept. 18.
CBS's weekly win was spurred by THE 57TH ANNUAL PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS, the season premiere of SURVIVOR and the two-hour series premiere of THRESHOLD.
For the week in viewers, CBS (10.50m) led FOX (7.49m), ABC (7.31m) and NBC (6.90m).? For the summer season (5/30/05-9/18/05), CBS was first in viewers (7.67m), ahead of ABC (6.25m), NBC (6.09m) and FOX (5.44m). CBS won 46 of the 52 weeks of primetime this broadcast year.?

For the week in households, CBS (6.9/12) was +41% ahead of both NBC and ABC (4.9/08, each) and +47% ahead of FOX (4.7/08). For the summer of 2005, CBS was first (5.3/09), +23% ahead of NBC (4.3/08), +26% ahead of ABC (4.2/07) and +47% ahead of FOX (3.6/06).?
