FROM BALTUSROL GOLF CLUB ON AUGUST 11-14

Late Night Highlights of First Two Rounds Broadcast on

Thursday, August 11 and Friday, August 12 on the CBS Television Network

Defending champion Vijay Singh aims for his third title in the season's final major and against the strongest field in golf when the 87th PGA Championship is contested at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J. Last year at Whistling Straits, Singh took home his second Wannamaker Trophy after a three-hole playoff with Justin Leonard and Chris DiMarco. For the 15th consecutive year, CBS Sports will be on-hand to cover the next chapter in PGA Championship history.

The CBS Sports 2005 PGA Championship golf announce team is led by anchor Jim Nantz, along with lead analyst Lanny Wadkins, reporting from the 18th hole. Peter Oosterhuis describes the action at the 17th hole, Gary McCord at the 16th hole, Bobby Clampett at the 15th hole, Verne Lundquist at the 14th hole and Bill Macatee at the 13th hole. David Feherty and Peter Kostis serve as on-course reporters.

Lance Barrow, Coordinating Producer, Golf, will produce along with David Winner. Jim Rikhoff serves as videotape producer. Steve Milton and Bob Matina will direct.

Tony Petitti is Executive Producer, CBS Sports.

CBS Sports' cameras will capture the action at all 18 holes of Baltusrol Golf Club with live coverage of the third and final rounds on Saturday, Aug. 13 and Sunday, Aug. 14 (2:00-7:00 PM, ET; both days). In addition, CBS Sports will broadcast highlights of early-round action with Nantz and Feherty immediately following the LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN on Thursday, Aug.11 and Friday, Aug. 12 (12:35-1:05 AM, ET/PT; both nights). Bob Mansbach will produce the highlight shows. Chris Svendsen will direct.

The 2004 PGA Championship was contested by the strongest field of the year with 95 of the top 100 world ranked players, only three players shy of the 2002 all-time record. In addition, last year's Championship featured the second largest international contingent in PGA Championship history -- 59 international players representing an event-record 20 countries. The international turnout was the most for any U.S. major championship in 2004. Since 1991, the PGA Championship has led all other major championships in total world-ranked players.
