ROD PAMPLING DEFENDS TITLE AT CASTLE PINES GOLF CLUB DURING CBS SPORTS' COVERAGE OF "THE INTERNATIONAL" ON AUG. 6-7

CBS Sports broadcasts live coverage of the third and final rounds of THE INTERNATIONAL on Saturday, Aug 6 and Sunday, Aug 7 (3:00-6:00PM, ET, both days). Australian Rod Pampling looks to repeat as champion at the Castle Pine Golf Course in Castle Rock, Co. after recording his first career PGA TOUR victory there last year.

In addition to fellow Aussies Stuart Appleby, Mark Hensby and Greg Norman, the field includes Phil Mickelson, Retief Goosen, Chris DiMarco, Davis Love III, Mike Weir, Fred Couples and Sergio Garcia.

The International is best known for its unique Stableford scoring system, which awards five points for eagles, two for birdies, nothing for pars, and deducts one for bogeys, placing a premium on aggressiveness.

Jim Nantz and Lanny Wadkins provide commentary from the 18th tower. Peter Oosterhuis calls the action from the 17th hole, Gary McCord from the 16th hole, and Bobby Clampett the 15th hole. Peter Kostis and David Feherty serve as on-course reporters.

Lance Barrow is Coordinating Producer of CBS' Golf Coverage. Steve Milton directs. Tony Petitti is Executive Producer, CBS Sports.

Next week, CBS Sports broadcasts golf's final major of the season, the 2005 PGA CHAMPIONSHIP. CBS Sports will broadcast live action of the third and final rounds on Saturday, Aug 13 and Sunday, Aug 14 (2:00-7:00PM, ET, both days) from Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, NJ.
