Back at Orleans Arena, Soul Train Awards 2016 to feature soulful performances, tributes and special appearances by some of entertainment’s biggest stars

New York (October 29, 2016) – Today, BET Networks announced that T-Pain, Lalah Hathaway, Omarosa Manigault and Tony Cornelius, eldest son of Soul Train founder Don Cornelius, have been added to the star-studded line-up for Soul Train Weekend 2016.  Kickingoff Thursday, November 3, 2016 and taking over Mandalay Bay, these exciting new names join the previously announced roster of performances from Jill Scott, Tyrese, Monica, Anthony Hamilton, Jazmine Sullivan, Bell Biv DeVoe, Yuna, Tish Hyman and Kid Capri. The cast of BET’s The Comedy Get Down including Cedric 'The Entertainer,’ D.L. Hughley, George Lopez, Eddie Griffin and Charlie Murphy are also set to take the stage for a special night of comedy.


Two events have also been added to the Soul Train Weekend schedule, including the ‘Soul Lunch & Greens: A Charity Golf Experience’ Sponsored by Black People Meet and the ‘Centric Certified Conversation’ Sponsored by Army, hosted by Tony Cornelius.The four-day weekend of events will include intimate performances, electrifying concerts, an outdoor day party and exclusive late night parties – all leading up to the 2016 Soul Train Awards on Sunday, November 6, 2016.
