NEW YORK, NY – May 8, 2022 – Upholding the legacy & forging new paths. VH1’s can’t-miss-hit series “Black Ink Crew: New York” and “Black Ink Crew: LA” – formerly “Black Ink Crew: Compton” – are set to return with back-to-back premieres on Monday, May 15th at 8 p.m. ET/PT and 9 p.m. ET/PT on VH1.

Picking up right where the season left off, the “Black Ink Crew: New York” Season 10 cast work to chart a path forward following the decision to cut ties with Ceaser just before the mid-season break. OG’s Puma and Teddy step up to run the business in Ceaser’s absence and find themselves conflicted with upholding the Black Ink Crew legacy while embarking on their own journey as entrepreneurs. With the veteran tattooers hesitant to work for Puma, he and Ted decide to take the reinvention of the shop a step further by bringing in a new group of artists.

The franchise continues expanding its West Coast footprint with two of the hottest tattoo shops in Los Angeles, inspiring the series to rebrand from “Black Ink Crew: Compton” to “Black Ink Crew: LA”for the second midseason premiere. KP “iAmCompton” Kirkpatrick remains steadfast in his mission to show the world a side of Compton’s culture that they’ve never seen before, running the city’s first-ever legal tattoo shop Ink Art Music while still pursuing his music career. With some original artists leaving, KP finally finds the right tattooers he can trust to take the brand to new heights while juggling the demands of a growing musuc career, fatherhood and holding the torch for the city of Compton.

Katrina“Kat Tat” Jackson,“Black Ink Crew: Chicago” alum and fan-favorite, continues to work hard to take Enigma to the next level. As a thriving businesswoman and the first BIPOC woman to own a tattoo shop in Beverly Hills, Kat continues to cement her name as a well-respected artist in the industry while balancing shop renovations, motherhood, entrepreneurship, and an upcoming wedding with her NFL player fiancé Jamie Collins.
