New York, NY – October 9, 2023 – BET keeps the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop celebration going with a special three-part “Rap City” documentary titled “Welcome to Rap City” kicking off Tuesday, October 10 at 8 PM ET/PT on BET followed by the star-studded premiere of “BET Hip Hop Awards” 2023 at 9 PM ET/PT.

VH1’s can’t-miss-hit series “Basketball Wives: LA” and newly crowned flagship “Basketball Wives: Orlando” – will premiere with back-to-back on Monday, October 9 starting at 9 PM ET/PT on VH1.

“WELCOME TO RAP CITY” PREMIERES TUESDAY, OCTOBER 10 AT 8 PM ET/PT ON BET

The three-part docuseries will kick-off October 10th at 8 PM ET/PT – The original documentary will chronicle the longest-running nationally broadcast rap show in history, “Rap City.” “Welcome To Rap City” will feature sit-down interviews with all the original “Rap City” hosts including Big Tigger, Big Lez, Chris “The Mayor” Thomas, Hans “Prime” Dobson, Prince DaJour, Joe Clair, Mad Linx, J-Nicks and Q45. Additional exclusive interviews include Da Brat, Dj Drama, Eve, Havoc, Keith Murray, Ludacris, The Diplomats, Tip “T.I” Harris, Trina, the production and executive teams behind the culture-defining franchise and more. 

Episode #101 “Building A City” airs Tuesday, October 10 at 8 PM ET/PT - A young network and culture, BET and Hip Hop, combine their newfound voices to create the longest-running nationally broadcast Hip Hop program, Rap City.

Episode #102 “The Notorious Bassment” airs Wednesday, October 11 at 8 PM ET/PT – Rap City airs the final televised interview of a legend and “Tha Bassment” is born.

Episode #103 “A Changing City” airs Tuesday, October 12 at 8 PM ET/PT – As the world begins to change, Rap City takes on a bigger city, New York.

“Basketball Wives” returns for its 11th season with new and returning cast members. After a season hiatus, original cast member Evelyn Lozada returns to the court, rejoining the all-star lineup of MVPs Jackie Christie, Jennifer Williams, and Brooke Bailey, along with a guest appearance from executive producer Shaunie Henderson. New to the roster are Brittany Renner, Vanessa Rider, Jac’Eil Duckworth and Clayanna Warthen.
