BET NETWORKS ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH NISSAN AS EXCLUSIVE AUTOMOTIVE SPONSOR FOR THE “BET AWARDS” 2015 RED CARPET AND THE BET EXPERIENCE

BET EXPERIENCE AT L.A. LIVE 2015 TICKETS ON SALE NOW

NEW YORK, NY – February 23, 2015 — BET Networks today announced Nissan as the official automotive sponsor for the “BET Awards” 2015 red carpet and the BET Experience.  Celebrating this year’s 15th anniversary, the “BET Awards,” is the hottest ticket in town during the BET Experience at L.A. LIVE weekend featuring an all-star lineup of celebrities, entertainers and athletes.  The “BET Awards” 2015 will be televised live Sunday, June 28, 2015 at 8 p.m. ET on BET from the Nokia Theatre at L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles.

Nissan will make its first appearance at the “BET Awards” as presenting sponsor of the red carpet and “106 & PARK Pre-Show” and second year as the exclusive automotive sponsor of the BET Experience at L.A. LIVE.   Both properties offer the brand a true multiplatform opportunity to reach millions of consumers on air, online, through social media and on the ground over three days. Nissan is also a sponsor of BET’s Music Matters, which showcases the best of what’s next, featuring artists who are making their way to stardom.

The “BET Awards” is one of the most watched award shows on cable television according to the Nielsen Company. The “BET Awards” franchise remains as the #1 program in cable TV history among African-Americans, and is BET's #1 telecast every year. It recognizes the triumphs and successes of artists, entertainers and athletes in various categories. 

Stephen G. Hill, BET’s President of Programming and Lynne Harris Taylor, BET’s Vice President of Specials, will serve as Executive Producers for the “BET Awards,” along with Jesse Collins, CEO of Jesse Collins Entertainment.
