A Transformational Unscripted Series Centered on Women, Wellness, and Wisdom
Los Angeles, CA (April 2026) — BET, in collaboration with Tai Life Media, LLC., crowdMGMT, and Beyond Castings & Productions, announces The SHIFT, an inspiring new unscripted digital series premiering April 21, 2026 on BET.com and BET’s YouTube channel, with new episodes dropping weekly over three weeks through May 5th. The series was co-created and executive-produced by award-winning TV host, producer, and cultural leader Tai Beauchamp, along with Brand Architect and Talent Manager EJ Jamele and Producer Princess Mbanuzue.
Tai Beauchamp also serves as the host of the series, bringing her signature warmth, candor, and business and entrepreneurial leadership-rooted ethos to women who need it most. The SHIFT convenes a powerhouse collective of advisors to guide everyday people through life’s most pivotal moments with the kind of honesty, strategy, and wisdom typically reserved for boardrooms. The dynamic "Board of Advisors" includes Egypt Sherrod, Bevy Smith, Brandi Harvey, Yaya DaCosta, and Judy Dupart.
At a time when 73% of Gen Z report feeling alone sometimes or always, The SHIFT arrives as both compelling entertainment and a timely cultural response – reimagining “the village” for a new generation. The series creates space for connection, mentorship, and shared growth, helping participants navigate personal and professional turning points through community and conversation.

At the heart of The SHIFT is the belief that women already hold the answers; they just need access to the right space, the right questions, and the right circle. Each episode follows a mentee facing real-life professional or personal roadblocks. The mentees are each individually guided by Tai and her board through a transformational journey built on what the show calls the L.O.V.E. Metrics: Leadership, Ownership, Vision, and Evolution.
BET joins as the series platform and production partner.

The Board of Advisors is here to guide and correct where needed. They aim to challenge mentees through breakthroughs—not just breakdowns.
“This is the kind of show I wish I had in my 20s,” says The SHIFT board member and entrepreneur Brandi Harvey. “It’s honest, it’s elevating, and it’s rooted in love and accountability.”
Each episode concludes when the mentee has a clear understanding of the tools and takeaways they need to power their shift, plus a heartfelt letter written by Tai reminding each mentee that no matter their current position, their evolution is the victory.
“We’re holding mirrors and building ladders,” Tai adds. “We want every woman to leave knowing she’s seen, heard, and equipped for her next level.”
