Los Angeles – September 2, 2025 – BET Media Group is excited to announce rising star kwn as the BET Amplified Live artist for September 2025. As part of BET’s premier emerging artist platform, kwn delivered an exclusive live-to-tape performance streaming on BET.com, the official BET YouTube, and Facebook channels on September 2, 2025.
kwn (pronounced kay-wuhn) is an East London-born singer, songwriter, and producer known for
her sultry blend of R&B music and captivating lyrics. Raised in Walthamstow with a DJ father and music-obsessed mother, she began crafting music at an early age. In March 2025, kwn was named Billboard’s “Rookie of the Month,” where she was recognized for her rising stardom in music. Earlier this year, kwn teamed up with Kehlani for her alluring remix and music video of her breakout song “worst behaviour.” The steamy, must-watch video gained viral attention and was the talk of social media, garnering 15 million views to date.
Earlier this summer, kwn released her highly anticipated 9-track EP, with all due respect — a bold return to the heart of R&B. The project is a carefully crafted body of work that spans late-night confessions, seductive love ballads, and emotional introspection. Featuring standout collaborations with breakout girl group FLO and Grammy-nominated artist Kehlani, the EP showcases kwn’s artistic evolution and solidifies her place among a rising generation redefining the genre. With each track, she paints from a rich emotional palette, offering raw honesty, vulnerability, and soul.
kwn is currently preparing for her first-ever headline US and European tour, kicking off Fall 2025. Previously pairing up on the track “Clothes Off” from Kehlani’s latest mixtape, While We Wait 2,
kwn recently joined Kehlani for the European leg of her Crash World Tour, making stops in
Amsterdam, Paris, and London before wrapping in Manchester.
Last year, kwn released the original version of “worst behaviour,” receiving massive support on socials and solidifying her as a top R&B artist to watch. She had previously released her self-produced, magnetic single “eyes wide open,” an exploration of possessing deeper feelings for an ex and the internal back and forth while deciding the best recourse. The song gained over 8 million streams worldwide and resulted in kwn performing the track at Destin Conrad’s headlining summer show in London.
Most recently, kwn collaborated with Jordan Adetunji for his infectious single, “Too Many Women,” and featured in the music video. With her unapologetic authenticity, distinctive voice, and fearless approach to music, kwn continues to captivate audiences, establishing herself as a standout rising star.
